ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is considered to be the second easiest material to work with when you start 3D printing. ABS is an engineering polymer commonly used to produce car bumpers due to its toughness and strength. It´s also the stuff that Lego blocks are made of. Tough, but safe enough for the kids to handle! ABS prints parts that require soluble support material.

ABS is available in white, black, red, blue, yellow and green colors and has a matte appearance.

ABS Features:

• Print temperature 243-248ºC (white: 240-245ºC)

Note: Minimum wall thickness 2,5mm on walls over 75mm long in either the x or y axis. Shrinkage and warping can occur on models and is purely geometry dependent.

When using a Rapman or 3DTouch, it is recommend limiting ABS prints to 100mm (x) by 100mm (y). Larger prints may be accomplished within the constraints of the machine depending on geometry.

Consideration must be made when printing larger objects - thermal stress can cause ABS to warp as the part cools.
